Purity: Our tea selections from Darjeeling,
Assam and the Nilgiris are all certified 100% pure by the Indian
Tea Board. Read more about our three
symbols of purity.
Quality: Our selections include our personal ‘reserves’,
the very best of our own estates, and of others that meet our
rigorous taste and quality standards. These standards are guided
by our commitment to source our teas from estates where responsible
cultivation methods are combined with high standards of social
and economic welfare for tea pickers and their families.

: The Art of Fine Plucking: |
|
| Several of our featured estates are HACCP and SQF 2000
certified by the Societe Generale de Surveillance. HACCP
or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, is designed
to minimize the risk of microbiological, chemical and other
food safety hazards. SQF 2000 or Safe Quality Food is the
management system, which implements HACCP principles. We
also carry estates that are certified as organic by the
Institute for Marketecology (IMO), Switzerland. |
Freshness: As a tea grower, one enjoys
certain advantages. We produce and directly source our select
tea offerings. We are thus able to deliver the freshest teas,
in the shortest time, at the most attractive prices.
Tradition: Our family has devoted
a hundred years to producing exclusive teas for some of the
most discerning tea buyers in the world. The art of tea production,
selection, blending and tasting can only be acquired through
decades of experience and this remains our most valuable resource.
